Embroidered tulle wedding dress
The lovely Rosa asked us to make her wedding dress. I only knew later she was studying embroidery, and then it all made sense.
She has such a love for fine detail and took great care to choose a very fine delicate floral lace. It was a beautiful design, and it really suited her delicate frame.
The wedding was such an exciting one to be part of. Rosa was a dream to work with, and she looked gorgeous on the day.
The ceremony took place in their family church in Corstorphine. I drive past that church all the time, I didn’t know it was so breathtakingly beautiful inside.
All the guests then went to Rosa’s family home in Fife for a wonderful big celebration. A lovely day for the happy couple.
We made Rosa’s dress in the beautiful lace, technically called an embroidered tulle on the bodice. The skirt is a full circle skirt, in duchesses satin, which has the most divine pure silk chiffon overlay on it.
The delicate veil has lace motifs added as an overlay, which further compliments the elegant style of Rosa’s dress.
The result is incredible, and Rosa said she was bathed in compliments the whole day, which is exactly what we love to hear and why we do what we do. This is what Rosa wrote to us:
“I must say it (the dress) was more beautiful than I ever imagined, and the veil, too, was perfect. I received many compliments; several people said it was the most beautiful wedding dress they had ever seen. So thank you very much for making such a perfect lovely dress.”
We love that our brides feel so themselves on their big days; it’s wonderful that we are part of that.
