Where do we start with the beautiful Laura. This Silk Wedding Dress with slash neck and sleeves is so classic and we adore how it turned out.
The Dress
We created this beautiful silk wedding dress with slash neck and sleeves. The bodice is in an ivory silk marocain which is also in the sleeves, buttons and belt. Adding in a concealed zip for ease too. The skirt in smooth douppion silk features deep box pleats – Laura wanted the skirt to sit less like a ballgown but still have shape and dimension so deep box pleats are the way to go to achieve this!
Laura also decided to add a small flat bow detail to the back of the belt. This looked very chic and was bang on trend. The sleeves featured 5 of the silk marocain-covered buttons on each side which were also down the back of the dress. These small touches and details are perfect for elevating a minimalistic yet sophisticated design.
Accessorising with a small headband that we also created. It had small Swarovski crystal details which were beautiful.
The Wedding
The wedding at her family church in Kinghorn was just so special. The day was really all about family, having a fun and relaxed time together. I think that the spirit of a wedding, a day surrounded by your nearest and dearest. They also chose this venue to allow the children of the family to have a safe space to run around and play.
