It was a real pleasure being asked to make a short silk satin wedding dress for this amazing venue. We discussed different cuts and colours, she settled for this style and ivory colour.
The Robert Burns Monument is one of my favourite spots in Edinburgh and fairly unknown. The location is stunning and the building itself almost looks like a wedding cake.
So, a dress to suit this venue!. This was the challenge. Pippa wanted a simple dress she could wear and enjoy the informal wedding day in. She chose a lovely heavy silk crepe back satin. This silk drapes very well and makes lovely pleats and folds. The bespoke dress really suited Pippas, slender figure and style.
The guest had a lovely time exploring the monument and surroundings after the wedding and then the group and their dogs, went off to enjoy the reception.
The sun was out for the day. and we loved the photographs taken by Ryan Mcgoverne.
