We met Linda a couple of years ago, when we made the prom dress for her daughter Emma.
It was lovely to get the call that Linda was now engaged to get married and that Emma and her Fiance’s daughter (Also called Emma) were going to be bridesmaids.
Linda had planned the wedding to be in St. Andrews, at the Old Course Hotel, St Andrews, and she wanted a long sophisticated Wedding dress with a soft drapey skirt made in silk crepe. The bodice was made from tulle with silver embroidery. The dress had an internal corset and buttons and loops at the back and soft gathered straps on the shoulders.
The two Emma’s had opted for different styles of dresses but by keeping the fabric and cut of the skirt the same, the entire look had a continuity.
The colours and styles really suit the relaxed atmosphere of the seaside location. Emma did her mums and her own make up.
The flowers were done by Liz Hartley, from Passion & Flowers, and the car from High Society Wedding Cars. The photographs are kindly supplied by Ian Joy Photography, St Andrews.
