Black & White Wedding at Dundas Castle

Spread the love

Amy came to us after having tried on a hundreds of dresses in Edinburgh, Glasgow and London, she had seen a few she liked, but still not found the right one.
We met with Amy and discussed what we could do for her. Amy settled for a dress with internal corset and Chinese silk organza bias strips all around the dress, in total was over 200 meters of silk organza strips. The strips swirled round and round and made into big flowers on her skirt.
Amy wore a small veil on a simple pearl comb.
For night-time Amy had a black velvet ribbon round her waist for the night time.
Amy decided on black bridesmaids dresses, she had 2 adult bridesmaids in black one shoulder crepe dresses and one younger bridesmaid in an empire line cut dress, with a sash.
We also made Amy’s Mum’s outfit, she was in a silk – wool jacket in an a-symmetric style. And with that she had a dress in black-beige Chantilly lace, backed with neutral coloured satin.
The whole wedding came together so well with the black and white colour scheme. Ada Breckenridge from “The Flowerhouse, Balerno” had created the floral decorations, Julie Gilchrist created bespoke jewellery, and Iain Grant was the piper and toastmaster for Amy and Dean’s wedding at the Dundas Castle.
Amy, her mum and bridesmaids,  have all been so lovely to work with and her dress was such fun to make.
The photographs have been taken by Kevin Walsh Photography. Thank you so much for letting us use them.
