A few years back the Freja team created a beautiful two-piece wedding outfit for Caroline for her wedding to Fergal at the Hub. On her special day, Caroline wanted to wear a sentimental blue jewel encrusted necklace and so was keen for her wedding attire to incorporate the colour of this special necklace in some way. She therefore opted for a beautiful design made from silk duchess satin in ivory and comprised of separates; an elegant bandeau top with an internal corset held together by button and loop fastenings and a long flowing skirt with a delicate train. In order to incorporate the element of blue, she then handbeaded the upper section of the top by herself with an array of cream Swarovski pearls of varying sizes and with intermittent clear and blue Swarovski crystals, sourced via Rene Walrus. This slow and intricate process took Caroline such a long time to complete but with a lot of drive and determination and a little help from Rene Walrus she managed to see it through to the end! The final result was outstanding, with Caroline looking fantastic on her big day! The two-piece design is rarely opted for these days but it really is such a classic look with wonderful results and is a great option for adding that little something different! Caroline has just sent us some of the photographs taken of the happy couple on their wedding day by Absolutely Fabulous and we couldn’t wait to share them with you all!
