Magenta Wedding Dress
Magenta was the colour choice for Kirsten’s bespoke wedding dress. She wanted an exclusive and special dress she could wear for the wedding, and for events afterwards.
Kirsten runs her own art business and has such an eye for colours and textures. It was lovely working with her and experiencing her expertise.
I fully feel we met the brief. I love the textured Doupion silk with the soft Vintage style lace overlay. The lace is really fine and we have hand-finished all the edges. But cutting out all the different patterns in the edging and overlay them to create the neckline and the overlay on the join between dress and skirt. The dress has lovely silk covered buttons and loops at the back.
The happy couple chose a small ceremony and then an evening reception at the beautiful Balmoral Hotel. The room they used has the most magnificent view as you can see from the bridal portrait. The Balmoral Hotel is a great venue for weddings. We have had weddings there many times. They have a lot of different rooms and therefor can do weddings of all different sizes. They had an amazing time celebrating with friends and family.
