Touch of Tartan was the theme of this stunning wedding.
We love a challenge and Claire asked us to make her a bespoke wedding jumpsuit. We both wanted a contemporary look with the trousers, but also retain traditional elements, of a traditional wedding dress.
And then, we wanted the tartan, but just a touch of it.
Claire went for a silk crepe as the trouser fabric, this drapes and looks soft and feminine. Then we had a strapless bodice with a sweetheart neckline with boning and structure to give a great shape. Then a lovely heavily beaded and sequinned lace overlay over the top. We then added a deep silk satin belt with the tartan belt detail. The tartan was cut on the bias, again I feel its slightly more contemporary. The wedding jumpsuit was finished at the back with a tartan bow and covered silk buttons.
We loved the look. The 2 brides had kept it a secret what they both would wear, and they looked great together, with the touch of Tartan theme.
The ceremony and reception were held in the Orocco Pier, and everybody had a great time.
The lovely photographs are taken by Claire’s brother David, thanks to him for letting us share.
