Soft silk wedding dress in different materials and textures was the starting point for this wedding dress.
Eleanor likes soft to touch materials and wearing tops that are stylish, and simple and without structure.
Making a bespoke wedding dress like that starts with sketches and playing around with ideas and fabric swatches. We were initially working towards a 2 piece, with a skirt and a top, but we ran into difficulties. We saw lines through the silk where the 2 joined. Getting in and out of the 2 pieces was also a challenge. Therefore, we made the call to make it a one-piece dress. I really love how it turned out.
Eleanor had a beautiful day with the groom and their families. The venue is the beautiful Wethele Manor in Warwickshire. With a lovely summer day, they managed a personal ceremony outside in the stunning gardens.
There was an abundance of flowers on the day. Beautifully sourced and arranged by Eleanor’s mum’s friend. Lovely that she was involved in this wedding too, having been her mum’s bridesmaid.
The photographer on the day was Charlie, and he has kindly let us share Eleanor and Doug’s day with you all. Thank you.
