Micro Wedding at Gleneagles Hotel
Rachel ordered a wedding dress from us for her big day, booked for the 20th of March. If anyone of you have got any memory, then that was pretty much the day before the world went crazy, instead of the big wedding they ended up with the most beautiful micro wedding at Gleneagles Hotel.
The week leading up to the wedding, they had so many decisions to make regarding the wedding but decided on going ahead with a very intimate group of the nearest and dearest. They didn’t get the big party as planned but they had the best day and it couldn’t have been any more special and beautiful with a small intimate wedding at Gleneagles.
We loved making Rachels dress
She had a pure silk crepe dress in ivory with a slashed neckline and a narrow belt detail. Then we made a silk crepe jacket with the same neckline to go on top. This had lace sleeves and lace detail on the back. The waistband of the jacket had a beautiful silver motif, which could come off and go on to the dress for when she took the dress off.
The big train could come up for the night time celebrations.
Rachel’s mum came from Northern Ireland to be there for the dress fittings and it was lovely to be part of this family event.
Venue and photographs
The wedding took place at The Gleneagles Hotel. And they had a beautiful outdoor ceremony in the sun with all the stunning views. Blue Sky Photography was there on the day and took the best pictures, I am so in love with the detail shots of the dress and the portraits of the couple.
The couple had the luxury of having almost exclusive use of the entire hotel. This made for absolutely stunning portraits in the venue.
How amazing are those photographs showing their big day at Gleneagles where there is pretty much nobody around, just so special.
