Think back to July, in the summer of 2021. It feels like a long time ago, and time has flown by since then. We had a photo shoot at the beautiful Abercairney House and after all this time, we are finally getting around to showing you all the beautiful photos taken. It was lovely to be invited by Maria Stein, owner of Lyne Organics. Located in the Scottish Borders, Lyne Organics specialises in home fragrances and toiletries. They are a member of the Luxury Scottish Wedding site and provide a number of goods which would be perfect to help you have the most relaxing wedding day possible. So check them out!
The Estate
The photo shoot took place at Abercairney House. The estate has been home to the Moray family for over 700 years, and in 2015 they opened the estate to be a wedding venue. Located in the Strathearn valley, near Crieff. Surrounded by ample parklands and a beautiful terraced garden, landscaped in the 18th century. It is a perfect place to host your wedding. And the photos below give some idea of how a wedding would look at the estate.
TV Show Set
Widely recognised by fans of the television show Outlander, the estate can be seen in the show’s fourth season as the location of an American ‘southern’ plantation house. The set was built to become River Run, the plantation in North Carolina owned by Jamie’s Aunt Jocasta. Not only is the location perfect for weddings, but tv shows too!
We were so grateful to visit the Abercairney estate and be involved in the wonderful photo shoot. And we hope you enjoy looking at the photos. Credits go to Raini Rowell and Kate Haag for the beautiful photos taken. Thanks to Nic from @kiltsociety for providing the wonderful kilt. Also thanks to Diego and Paula our stunning models.
