Black goth wedding dress
If you have followed my page for more than 3 minutes, you will know I love all colours.
We have made a lot of coloured wedding dresses. When I get a new bride, and she comes in and says, like a sideline, wouldn’t it be fun to have a coloured wedding dress? I say to her go home and think about it; make sure that is what you want.
But sometimes, I know it is 100% the right choice. When Tricia contacted me about her black dress, I knew it was 100% right for her.
She is the coolest goth there ever was, and she had her whole wedding planned with the most incredible things to match her lifestyle. We were so happy to be involved and make her amazing dress.
Tricia’s bespoke dress is on a boned bodice in rich black duchess satin. She had a full skirt in the same satin. The skirt had deep box pleats front and back and a big train.
We made a black beaded lace overlay on the bodice and sleeves. The lace was layered, and we attached the lace motifs by hand to layer the lace motifs for different densities. We also added a scalloped beaded edging on the neckline and the bodice hem and sleeve hem.
Tricia accessorised with the striking long lace veil.
The wedding venue was Cottiers in Glasgow, which suited the black theme well. The very talented Rachel Ross Photography was there on the day and documented the day beautifully.
