We are so happy to be working with Duncan Holmes Photography from this gorgeous photoshoot we collaborated on at the Ardgowan Estate. The style of the shoot was perfectly executed by the amazing Jacki Clark – Stylist. Beautiful headpieces and birdcage veils by Mairi Brunning Millinery were incorporated into the looks, which really suited the amazing hair and makeup by Caroline at Eternal Hair and Beauty. The bouquets and floral decorations created by Shona at Studio Flowers brought together the entire photoshoot.                          

It was an absolute pleasure and honour making the confirmation dress for my beautiful god daughter Caroline. I was there when she was baptised and made the little gown for that, and along the way in her upbringing so I was so happy to be asked if we wanted to make her dress for her confirmation. Caroline is interested in fashion and style and had specific ideas of what the dress should look like. We made some sketches for her, and sent her some samples of fabric and also some examples of handmade silk flowers as decoration. Caroline was beautiful…

Lisa organised a beautiful Las Vegas wedding over many months. It was perfect, as it gave a small group of friends and family the opportunity for a holiday and for spending time together while the lovely couple got married. We were delighted to make Lisa’s dress, it was a pure silk cowl neck dress with a crystal belt and internal lace up and buttons and loops at the back. All weddings are so special, but this wedding, in particular, stole my heart. Allie & Archie met on a train when he sat in her seat, after Archie had been diagnosed with a brain tumour and just finished Chemotherapy, and had a really bad outlook. But Archie fought the tumour against all odds now got to a stage where there is no measurable tumour. It’s lovely when you get enquiries from brides with a slightly different wedding. Kate was one of those brides, she was planning a very small intimate affair in Hotel Du Vin, and then a big party afterwards where her and the groom were planning to boogie to the early hours. Making Emma’s dress for her early spring wedding was an absolute pleasure. She came to see me with her lovely Danish Mum and told me about her very personal intimate wedding where nothing was left to coincidence, but lots of lovely Vegetarian foods and cakes and spring flowers and beautiful personal touches. Sarah had a dress made by us for reeling years ago. We were so pleased she liked the experience and came back to get her wedding dress from us too. She had some really lovely ideas for a dress which was special and had the wow factor, but which was not too formal, and had a bit of a soft organic feel to it. We loved how her look turned out. Laurinda’s sophisticated wedding dress. This beautiful bride came to see us with super exciting and sophisticated ideas for a lovely wedding dress with lots of traditional elements, but also with some contemporary details and in a soft colour. She ended up with a lovely silk satin dress in champagne silk, an ivory lace overlay with gold beads on, and a detailed crystal belt sitting on a deep silk satin band. A floral dress with your favorite flowers, was just what Gemma-Rose wanted for her big day. She had all the ideas with her and she had spoken to a textile artist in Glasgow to paint the many many meters of silk for her dress. She chose a floral design with Peonies and For-Get-Me-Nots. It was painted on a crisp pure silk in a cream colour which was gorgeous for her complexion. Laura came in with not even showing a bump and talked wedding dresses, we made a kind of a mix of 2 dresses from the collection. The lace, edgings material and style were all decided and Laura went away and gave birth to her gorgeous little boy. She then came back after the birth, she was back in shape in no time at all, and we got started on her dress.
