Glencorse House is a lovely wedding venue just outside of Edinburgh, Louise had already chosen the venue when she came to us with a request for a gorgeous fishtail silk wedding dress, with vintage style lace bolero, one in which she could manage the hike up to the little church by Glencorse on top of the little steep hill. With Hannah’s architect background, she had lots of visions for her wedding including her dress. She was super to work with and had a really hands on approach, for her wedding in the Mansion House, Edinburgh Zoo. She even drew the actual Mansion House, for the invitation, i was so impressed. We love supporting local businesses, so when Fern Photography asked if we wanted to be part of a photoshoot we jumped at the opportunity. Here are the lovely shots from Crowne Plaza Hotels, Royal Terrace, Edinburgh. Its great to see a venue from photography and it gives you a feel of how you could have your wedding or other event there. If you had not been to the venue before, you wouldn’t know the lovely city garden they have out the back where the gorgeous model is posing. When i met Joan, she assured me she didn’t want anything too “Weddingy” for her Cyprus wedding… Well that is fine, that is allowed. But each thing i designed wasn’t quite “Weddingy” enough… so here we are. a gorgeous lace skirt with satin bodice and a lace bolero overlay. Its all soft and light for the September heat in Cyprus. The lace is ivory lace and a sea pearl silk satin backing it. So glad for what she went for. I love the colour and it made the lace stand out much more in the strong sunshine. Joan’s head dress…

One of our favorite venues, one of our favorite laces. So pleased to make this gorgeous dress in this very fine Chantilly lace. Lynne chose to wear it with little cap sleeves, Deep V-neck at the back and a embellished tulle belt. Joanne and Dave organised a beautiful wedding in Northern Ireland from Scotland. We made Joanne’s dress and it was was traveling over for her big day. She had described the venue and the surroundings for me in advance, but i thought it was so beautiful when i saw the real thing in the photographs.
