Sunny September in St Andrews

When you meet a bride the first time and you just think: “oh this girl is so beautiful and lovely…. I MUST make her dress!” This was just how I felt when Linda came to meet me the first time. Such a beautiful girl… in and out. We made Linda a lovely figure hugging princess dupion silk dress, with some beaded motifs in a pattern like a paisley pattern on the bodice. Linda and Chris had an absolutely stunning day in Sunny September in St Andrews Cathedral in Dundee and then following the Rufflets in St Andrews. I have only ever…

Country wedding at Tynningham Town Hall with close friends

The Groom Ian, has been a close friend of mine for many many years. I was delighted when he met Margaret, and romantically proposed to her on the finish line of the Kiltwalk, Margaret said: YES. Even better was it when the bride came to get her dress from me, as Margaret said: “Ian had chosen where to get the wedding dress for me even before he proposed”. We quickly came up with ideas to suit the country wedding. I was delighted to work with Margaret. She went for a sweet heart neckline dress in Orissa silk in the colour…

Short Icicle blue dress for wedding in the Mansion House at the Edinburgh Zoo

With Hannah’s architect background, she had lots of visions for her wedding including her dress. She was super to work with and had a really hands on approach, for her wedding in the Mansion House, Edinburgh Zoo. She even drew the actual Mansion House, for the invitation, i was so impressed. Hannah had seen one of our collection dresses, the little short dress called Ingrid, but she wanted it in colour, so we sourced this Icicle blue lace and silk to make dress and bolero in. The colour was so lovely on her. We love the Hair and Make up…

Sea Pearl and lace in Cyprus

When i met Joan, she assured me she didn’t want anything too “Weddingy” for her Cyprus wedding… Well that is fine, that is allowed. But each thing i designed wasn’t quite “Weddingy” enough… so here we are. a gorgeous lace skirt with satin bodice and a lace bolero overlay. Its all soft and light for the September heat in Cyprus. The lace is ivory lace and a sea pearl silk satin backing it. So glad for what she went for. I love the colour and it made the lace stand out much more in the strong sunshine. Joan’s head dress…

Stunning Wedding in Northern Ireland at Drenagh House

Joanne and Dave organised a beautiful wedding in Northern Ireland from Scotland. We made Joanne’s dress and it was was traveling over for her big day. She had described the venue and the surroundings for me in advance, but i thought it was so beautiful when i saw the real thing in the photographs.
