For their 10 year wedding anniversary, this lovely couple decided to renew their Vows. They wanted to celebrate the last 10 years and have a very personal and intimate ceremony and party with friends. We were excited by Lindsay’s brief for her dress. Abby actually first came to see me to look at bridesmaids dresses as she was so set on the rose-quartz colour, and she had not been able to find anything like that. We found her some lovely sequins in the correct colour, and as she was there looking for those. She fell in love with a wedding dress. We made her a simple slim style wedding dress in silk satin and Chantilly lace overlay. Ginny had ideas of a slim style sparkly dress with low back. so we played around with lots of different laces and cuts, and we landed on this, low back and really pretty embroidered tulle overlay. We had an absolute ball when Gayle came to see us the first time, explaining how she wanted an autumnal woodland themed wedding. Getting so excited by her many ideas and well structured planning and we soon got started, she wanted colour and drama. Gayle went for a ruched silk satin bodice, with internal lace up and then a big, full tulle skirt constructed of a few different colours of tulle, she had creams and champagnes and corals and peachy pinks. Susan and her husband to be had already settled for a wedding in Las Vegas when she came to see me. oh it sounded amazing. A sophisticated affair with room for their lovely 2 children. Susan had already tried a few dresses on all of which she liked, but none of them just right. We made Susan a silk satin dress, with internal corset, and then with a silk Georgette overlay absolutely covered in pearl and sequin embellishments. Becky wanted a simple wedding dress with a full skirt and the bodice in lace and champagne accent colour, she was set on having it with a bit of colour. She went for this gorgeous lace which has an ivory base, but embroidery and beading in champagne shades. She had a full circle skirt in a soft ivory satin and a champagne satin belt on the dress. The lace and champagne accent colour allowed for the dress to not just be all ivory. The buttons and loops at the back finished the look off.  Ohhh and some gorgeous Royal blue…

Really really fun day out of the shop today, (well a couple of hours anyway) Our little team went the Musselburgh Race course Ladies Day to meet with the team from Planet Flowers, we had together made dresses for 3 “flowergirls” who would meet and greet all the guests at Musselburgh Race Course Ladies Day. This year exciting things are up and coming: You have been cordially invited to Royal Ascot.. is one of them, and the Royal Enclosure at this year’s event. Ascot is the biggest event held in Britain’s sporting and social calendar at the racecourse in Berkshire, a very formal occasion and as with such a big event comes a strict dress code for those attending to follow. Really super lovely bride and groom  got married last year at Broxmouth Park, East Lothian  in fact this is their first anniversary. We would like to wish them congratulations with showing off their gorgeous images. It was an absolute joy, making Danielle’s dress in a duchesses satin with a biiiig train with lots of embellishment on. she had a lace overlay on the bodice, internal corset lace up and lots and lots of buttons and loops running all the way to the hem.
