Beautiful wedding in Lissanoure Castle, Nothern Ireland

Cathy was a lovely bride of ours from last year, and yet another recommendation from a previous bride, Cathy had lovely ideas about a simple sweet elegant wedding dress for her Lissanoure Castle wedding. We made a soft A-line skirt with a little train and a Chantilly V-neckline bodice with scallop edgings and little buttons and loops at the back. We love the entire simple elegance in all the wedding details. The Lissanoure Castle wedding venue was beautiful. The gorgeous flowers from Leaf Designs Northern Ireland  and the photographer was Kelly McAllister Photography and we thank her very much for letting…

New York wedding celebrations

When Hannah came in to discuss her dress for her New York Wedding, I was not quite prepared for the inspiration she wanted to share with me. On one of the first dates the couple had, they visited a costume museum, with an an exhibition on dresses from different era’s. They both fell in love with one dress in particular. And Hannah asked us to recreate that for her. So we went on to sourcing materials and ways of making her dress.   She decided for a french silk chiffon in the colour Wishbone (i love that name) for the…

Duck egg blue wedding at The Physicians Hall

Ohhh such a lovely wedding to be part of. Leigh and Tim wanted a beautiful personal day, and that’s what they got. The Physicians Hall was perfect for the day they had planned.   It was a fab brief to get for Leigh’s’ dress, she wanted, short, duck egg blue and aubergine details. The colors were exciting to work with, and so important to get the balance just right. We love the final result, the colors really suited Leigh. The dress is made in a heavy textured silk and a lovely lace overlay on the bodice, Aubergine buttons and internal…

Lovely People getting married and its just such a pleasure being involved. Scottish Autumnal Themed Wedding in Killearn

Sharon’s wedding captured stunning autumnal and Scottish vibes that was reflected in her dress. She knew she wanted something unique which I helped come to life. Sharon had this to say about her big day: I knew exactly what I wanted… I didn’t want a traditional wedding dress. I wanted a wool/tweed wedding dress that complimented our autumnal wedding feel and Colin’s kilt. It was very difficult finding someone to take on the challenge of a wool skirt & a wool corset! Most of the wedding dress makers didn’t want to work with the material! Then I met Mette Bring…

Angus Outdoor Castle Wedding

Young bride Alison was lovely to work with. Though slightly worried to begin with, her dream dress was created and she looked stunning in it at her Angus Outdoor Castle Wedding. I couldn’t find a wedding dress that was 100% what I had in mind, so I decided to have my dress custom made. I was slightly anxious as to how the finished dress would turn out, but Mette Baillie of Freja Designer Dressmaker in Edinburgh created the perfect dress and I loved being involved in choosing the fabrics and embellishments for the dress.             …

Barn Wedding on a lovely September day

Emma was such a sweet bride to work with, spoke with her before our first meeting and i got such a clear idea of what she wanted, that i had it all prepared before we met the first time. Here is what Emma said:   I had some ideas about what I wanted before looking for dresses. Mum and I went to 9 dress shops in Edinburgh and Aberdeen! I quickly started to realise what I did and didn’t like in dresses and became very picky with buttons, types of lace, back detail, neckline etc. to the point where I…

She went for a gorgeous dress with back detail and sweetheart neckline. the embellished lace motifs were attached by hand on her bodice and back panels, and it had an internal corset and buttons and loops…

Hollywood glamour in Playfair Library and George Hotel

A bride with 4 bridesmaids, Stunning venue, love of colour and amazing hollywood glamour wedding vision. This was such a winning combination. That is a dream bride to have walking through the door. Lindsay was just such a bride. With a vision of 50’es style Hollywood glamour and lots of colours, to give her relatives from the states a proper visual treat on their big Scotland trip for the wedding, she absolutely nailed it. Lindsay wanted a dress in tulle with lace beading and lace embellishment, the shine of the satin and the matte tulle gave lots of textures to…

Perthshire Wedding with super chique dress in silk and lace

Lovely intimate perthshire wedding with only close family and friends. Cathy’s dress was made in silk satin with lace bodice, it has deep pleats. The lace overlay on the bodice is edge with a heavy scalloped, and it makes a lovely detail to the dress. We feel so fortunate for being allowed to show it all off. The wedding was held in Perthshire and Nigel Lumsden Photography captured the day beautifully.
