Dalhousie Castle Wedding with beautiful lace wedding dress

When I first met Christine, she was planning a beautiful wedding with Harry her husband to be, at Dalhousie Castle. She had some loose ideas for her dress, and we came up with a gorgeous lace in ivory with a champagne cord, she had buttons on the back and soft satin skirt with a godet insert at the back and a little train. On the day, the weather was kind to the couple and they managed some lovely photographs in the beautiful grounds of the castle. Christine chose to have flowers from Angel-a-flowers hair and make up by Lyn mckenzie makeup.  …

A-Symmetric Blossom Pink Wedding dress with Scottish Heritage backdrop

Sophia came to me with ideas of a blossom pink wedding dress. we worked on her ideas and developed them, we added a gorgeous beaded belt and beading for the shoulder strap, she had ruching on the bodice and a skirt with train. The pale pink suited her colouring so well. And the lovely seaside tones picked out the colour very well. We wish Sophia and Richard all the best and were so happy to be involved in their wedding. Flowers from Susan McManus from Lily West. The venue is Orocco Pier, South Queensferry, with backdrop of the newly awarded…

Early Summer Wedding in Edinburgh Botanical Gardens

It was such a beautiful early summer wedding in Edinburgh Royal Botanic Gardens. Catherine, had planned such pretty details, and she had been much involved in the organisation. Her dress was constructed in a douppion silk, strapless sweetheart neckline bodice with V-neckline Guipure lace overlay and buttons down the back. The skirt had a full circle overlay in silk organza. It was a wonderful wedding to be involved in and Catherine was a pleasure to work with. The stunning photographs have kindly been supplied by Crofts & Kowalczyk Photography                      …

Red Wintry Wedding in The Caves

Katie and David had planned their wedding for mid February, it was dark and wintry, but the red colours and the lights made it so romantic and beautiful. The wedding was held in the atmospheric venue “The Caves” we loved making Katie’s wedding dress, it was a red tulle overlay on a red lace skirt, red lace bodice overlay on red silk, stunning crystal belt and a red guipure lace on the hemline. Katie had a long long train with the guipure lace trim on the hemline, the train came off for the dancing. Loraine Ross Photography took lovely photographs, i…

Beautiful Kelso wedding with soft pinks spring colours

Lovely telephone conversations with Ashleigh’s mum went before our first meeting. So when i first met Ashleigh, i had a bit of an idea what sort of dress she was looking for. I couldn’t have been happier, when i met her, as she was so beautiful and the colours she wanted her wedding dress in just suited her so well, we took good care of choosing the right shade of soft pinks and ivory to go with it. the dress was a circle cut silk chiffon wedding dress, with 2 layers skirt in different colours which made such a beautiful…

Beautiful Wedding at the South Lakes, with lovely soft Chantilly lace dress

Faye wanted a simple V-neck lace dress with little cap sleeves, a soft look and feel to the dress. She had a lovely wedding in the South Lakes with amazing DIY details and she looked amazing in her Vintage make up. Faye looked perfect in her dress, it had an internal lace up which gave her a smooth silhouette, but still gave a soft look to her dress. She chose a lovely Chantilly lace with ivory soft satin backing. The different coloured bridesmaids dresses, looked great and gave the wedding a fun look. Faye was such fun to work with,…

Louise has been a dear friend of mine for many years from the running and fitness scene, and i was beyond happy for her when she sported a gorgeous big ring on her finger. Louise, asked me how i thought she should celebrate her wedding, i was so happy with the choices Louise made. We designed and made her beautiful circle skirt silk chiffon wedding dress, she had a corded lace overlay with long sleeves on the bodice, internal lace-up and tiny buttons down the back. 1920’es style wedding at Raasay

Katie’s ideas to have a wedding with inspiration from the 1920s and held at the amazing Raasay, a small island off the Isle of Skye, came true. Katie had spent time on the island previously with her now husband and they fell in love with the place. It was not the easiest place to organise a wedding from Edinburgh, but it all fell into place and certainly showed it was worth it. We made Katie a soft wedding dress in silk satin with a beaded mesh overlay in ivory colour. She had heavier beaded motifs attached to the dress, beaded…

Bridesmaids in light pink and champagne lace

Was delighted to be asked to make 6 bridesmaids dresses for Kathryn’s beautiful wedding. The wedding had light pink and neutral colours and the styling was soft, romantic and sophisticated. The design was such a challenge, as 2 of the bridesmaids were pregnant, and we wanted a style which suited them all equally well. We ended up with a silk marocain dress in very light pink with champagne lace overlay on the bodice, and buttons and loops at the back, a little train and scallop lace edgings on all the lace. The design tied together well with Planet Flowers  beautiful…

Wedding at Inchyre

Mireille had organised her dress from another supplier 12 months before her wedding then 2 months before her wedding, she took it out of a box and though… ohh that dress is not as beautiful as the rest of all my gorgeous plans. She got in touch, and we were delighted to help. She went for a very delicate Chantilly lace, in a porcelain soft white colour. The lace had a lovely scallop edge with eyelashes sitting as little fluttery on her edges. The back was a deep Wide V, with scallop edging and lovely little cap sleeves. Her lace…
