Silk dress for New Zealand

silk dress with long detachable train

Silk dress for New Zealand It was such a joy making Aislinn’s bespoke wedding dress for her wedding in New Zealand. I have a soft spot for New Zealand and along with Aislinn just being the loveliest bride it made it one of my favourite projects ever. That dress! Aislinn had some lovely ideas when she came to us. She wanted a soft and very simple dress with a boat neckline and a low back. She wanted simple but still wanted to make some impact. Deciding for the silk crepe as her main fabric was perfect. It is so soft…

teal dress in pure silk

Mother of the bride and groom We LOVE working with the mums. We have so much more freedom in terms of colour and styles compared to working with the brides usually. This year has been so busy. We have made different designs and worked in every colour you can imagine. We want to show you some of the lovely dresses we worked on this year. Gold is always a popular colour. It’s classic, without season and timeless. Here is a lovely one we did, photographed by Craig & Eva Saunders. If you want to hear more about your services for…

Castle winter wedding

bride and groom in the scottish hills

Castle winter wedding for Max and Calum We are over the moon to be part of this wedding. We made Max’s wedding dress for this magnificent event at Drumtochty Castle. I am a friend of Calum’s mum and I am so happy to make this wedding dress for Max. Despite many geographical obstacles, it all worked out. Max’s family are all in different States in the US. It was great fun having them online at the fittings and giving their comments on the dress and how it was shaping up. Beautiful wedding dress We made Max a bespoke wedding dress….

Two bridal trouser suits

Two bridal trouser suits

Two bridal trouser suits It was so lovely making these two bespoke bridal outfits for these fabulous brides. We were delighted to be asked to do so. Both brides are personal recommendations from lovely brides we have worked with before, making it even more special. They both wanted trousers for their wedding outfits, and we wanted to make them look great but individual. For Lisa, we made a halter neck bodice with a very delicate Chantilly lace overlay, the neck strap in fine silk chiffon fastening with buttons at the back. With this top, Lisa wore classic cut ivory trousers….

Halter neck beaded lace dress

bridal portrait bride in low back beaded wedding dress with bow

Halter neck beaded lace dress This was such a lovely request for a bespoke dress. Laura was looking for a halter neck dress with a really low back and made in beaded lace. There are always challenges when you work in lace because you want to love the lace design and the edgings of the lace need to work with the design as well. This was the perfect place. And we bought every single piece in the country. We needed extra lace to overlay the lace so the seams would be invisible. We made a fitted satin dress. Then fitted…

Tartan on short dress

Short silk wedding dress with tartan

Tartan on a short dress Buchanan tartan was the simple detail on this short, sophisticated wedding dress. We loved making this wedding dress. Catriona has been a customer with us for a few years and we have become friends in the process. It was such an honour to be involved in this wedding. I loved getting asked to help them get dressed and send them off on the day. Catriona wanted a short simple off-the-shoulder wedding dress. The groom is a Buchanan, and we represented his tartan on the simple box pleat detail on the back of the wedding dress….

Romantic vintage inspired dress

romantic vintage style wedding dress

Romantic vintage-inspired dress Working with Stacey is a delight. She is so in tune with amazing ideas and she works really hard to achieve her vision across every single detail of her wedding. She has a beautiful Scottish Highland Wedding in Glen Clova. That dress Before our first meeting we had had exchanges of ideas and she really liked soft vintage-inspired ideas. I was so honoured she came all the way from Aberdeenshire to meet with me and talk over her ideas. We picked a beautiful fine polka dot tulle and a warm ivory satin to go with it. While…

Cambo Estate wedding

2 piece wedding dress

Cambo Estate wedding was booked for a while for this wedding. This is another wedding postponed due to covid. But totally worth the wait. I am not lying when I say I have been pretty excited about this one. For a few reasons. The gorgeous bride and groom are like me very fond of the outdoors and active lifestyles. Obviously, this wedding had to reflect that. So right from the start, I knew Julia would not want a dress with a big train or corsetry or anything else which would restrict her movement.  So we made her this gorgeous embroidered…
