Sicily Wedding Dress

Sicily Wedding Dress

Sicily Wedding Dress A wedding dress for a wedding in Sicily sounds like the stuff dreams are made of. Absolutely delighted to be asked by Shelley to make her beautiful dress for her. Shelley’s husband-to-be is from Scotland. We managed to do the wedding dress fittings when Shelley was up from Kent for family visits in Edinburgh. That Dress! So, the dress is made in a beautiful 100% silk crepe. The silk crepe made a fitted soft fishtail skirt with a big train. The top is essentially a mesh bodice with hand-stitched lace on top. Taking great care to find…

Emerald Green Wedding Dress UK

emerald green wedding dress, coloured wedding dress

Emerald green wedding dress was Eimear’s bold choice, and we loved working on it. We’ve worked with brides from Edinburgh, all over the UK and beyond to create beautiful coloured wedding gowns. The traditional wedding dress shops rarely stock wedding dresses other than ivory, cream, white or perhaps champagne, if you are lucky. But we make quite a few bespoke coloured dresses, and we LOVE it. When you are considering a coloured wedding dress, you must really think it through. You must take into consideration there may be some people finding it strange. So deal with that in your head…

Simple lace wedding dress

simple lace wedding dress

Elizabeth had a gorgeous simple lace wedding dress. Elizabeth had a simple lace wedding dress, and although it was simple it was stunning. Sea pearl coloured silk backed the dress, and the cool colours of the lace and the sea pearl really suited her skin tone. The dress had a simple silhouette, being fitted at the top with a straight skirt. It was full length, to just above the ankles and also had a small slit in the back. The bodice had a high neck, high back and long lace sleeves; this gave it a beautiful, elegant look. Their wedding…

Borthwick Castle Wedding

Stunning dress at Borthwick Castle Borthwick Castle is a beautiful venue, and so needed a beautiful dress. This beautiful bride came to me with ideas of nude-champagne colours, gold thread, beaded embellishments and silk mesh. This was altogether in a soft layered textured combination for her beautiful wedding dress. We absolutely love the results. I want to show you a little about how the dress was constructed. As it had many layers, we, therefore, had to make the dress in stages. We started with the silk base and then added the beaded lace over the skirt. Then on the dummy,…

Pre-Lockdown Photoshoot

With there being so much uncertainty following many of the weddings we had planned we have found ourselves with a bit of free time we wouldn’t normally have. Although daunting at first, the slow down of pace allowed us to work closer with fellow creatives in our field. A pre-lockdown photoshoot helped us do this. We absolutely love an opportunity to be creative with fellow colleagues.  It’s hard to find time in a busy diary to play and do new things, and explore. Therefore, we jumped at the opportunity. Taking full advantage we decided to work alongside the amazing photographer…

Truly Scottish Royal Mile Wedding

royal mile wedding

Zoe’s Truly Scottish Royal Mile Wedding Zoe and her husband were inspired by the idea of having a real Scottish wedding – and they nailed this. Their wedding included a walk down the Royal Mile! They had just been living in Australia and wanted a real Scottish wedding with a relaxed atmosphere and a ceilidh. That’s exactly what they had, and they chose Lothian Chambers for a lovely simple registry. They then walked down the Royal Mile to the City Chambers for their wedding reception, therefore giving them the perfect Scottish wedding! The photographs are courtesy of Nick Mailer and…

Nicaraguan and Scottish Wedding

Beautiful Nicaraguan and Scottish Wedding Natalia had so so many things organised for her absolutely epic Nicaraguan and Scottish barn wedding in Knockraich of Fintry. However, she didn’t have her dress organised – I think we started with only about 7 weeks to go. Natalia was hugely involved, she really has an eye for design and details. Natalia’s mum is from Nicaragua, the ideas and designs Natalia was going for had a real Latin feel to them. The venue was dressed from top to tail the day before by the bride and groom, their families and anyone who cared to…
