Chic Tea Length Bridal Gown

One of our lovely brides has very recently had her wedding. We thought what better opportunity than to write a blog post and share some images.

Marina had some very fabulous ideas in the initial consultation, looking for a chic tea length gown, with a sheer overlaid top. Her fashion forward style was impeccable so we knew this dress was going to be a winner! We love when brides go for shorter dresses, it’s the perfect opportunity to showcase spectacular shoes. It’s also a great idea if you don’t want to have a large train or anything dragging on the ground!

We brought the vision to life with a Pure Silk Dupion Dress. This then featured a pure silk organza overlay with pearl button detail front and a higher neck. This style perfectly showed off her gorgeous shoes and the whole ensemble felt very classic yet modern with the length and addition of the high collar style neckline. We added a waistband in that led round to a statement bow at the back. The sleeves had an elegant extended cuff with button detail.

Marina went for a more vintage style. This idea of vintage is so subjective as there are so many era’s of fashion that can be classed as such! Some people associate lace with vintage styles but not all lace dresses have to be vintage looking like not every vintage style dress needs to include lace! Marina (in our opinion) had a perfect representation of a classic vintage silhouette and style from the new look era. We think she looks beautiful and radiant in her dress and that tea length is a winner for us.

The Wedding

The lovely couple were married in Edinburgh with photos taken in the picturesque (and every so popular for stunning photos) Circus Lane and they both looked like an absolute dream.

The wonderful Lydia Richardson really captured the couple (and the dress) beautifully.
