Classic Linen Wedding Dress

There is something so beautiful about simple elegant wedding dresses. We made this classic linen wedding dress for Holly and we think she looks gorgeous.

We began with 2 different thicknesses of linen. Light for the sleeves and heavier for the bodice and skirt of the dress. The dress had a square neckline and boned bodice with a soft draped skirt with delicate pleats. The back of the bodice had a hidden zip and button detailing. A linen wedding dress is a perfect alternative if you’re not a silk or satin person as the end product is always a beautiful gown. It gives almost a romantic feel, the way it moves and can be structured is something we love.

The sleeves were the star of the show, small details can sometimes have the biggest impact. Holly opted for big sleeves with a tightened cuff and small lace detail. The cuff was double layered with the linen and then lace underneath. A super sweet detail to include.

Holly wanted the dress to have a ‘period style’ feel to it and the silhouette (in our opinion) perfectly captures that. It is always a dream when a bride comes to us with a style of garment.
