Cotton tulle wedding dress with beaded lace details

Such fun to meeting and making Jennifer’s Wedding dress in lace and tulle. We created a beauty in lace and tulle. Jennifer’s great friend had had her wedding dress made by us for her amazing snow elopement in Norway.  She recommended the Freja experience to Jennifer. However, at the time of her engagement, Jennifer was based in Kenya. Jennifer still came all the way to Edinburgh to see us. Her friend came from Norway and her mum from Cornwall. So amazing they all headed to Edinburgh for the dress. They arrived a Monday afternoon… no time to waste! Jennifer tried on a few dresses from our collection and we pieced them together to form a truly personal bridal look. Which obviously had to suit her and be stunning for the wedding, but also suitable for riding her beautiful horse Captain on the big day.

Jennifer, her mum, and friend went away and had a lovely dinner and a rare evening together, then they came back the next morning, and Jennifer tried on her dress. Well, as much dress as we had managed to make overnight. But this was enough dress for us to get an understanding of how we could work the real dress.

While the bride and groom were busy organising their wedding, it was announced the Royal wedding between Harry and Meghan was to take place the same day. But I was far more excited about this wedding, it was like a royal wedding. A stunning bride, horses, uniforms, dogs, it was all there for the wedding on Jennifer’s parent’s farm in Blagdon, Devon.

We waved off all our visitors to the airport. After that we got all the materials got ordered and all the details noted down. Then knuckled down and made the dress for Jennifer.  She made another visit a couple of weeks before her wedding. Again, came to see us straight from the airport, tried on the dress, Loved it! went away to have lunch while we did the hem of the dress.

We absolutely love the photographs, and we are so happy to be able to share them with you, thanks to Sand in my pockets
