Emerald Green Wedding Dress

A Beautiful Emerald Green Wedding Dress made for a wedding set in the Scottish Highlands.

I think this is one of the BEST briefs I have ever had for a wedding dress.

This wedding took place in the beautiful Scottish Highlands which is known for its beautiful scenery.

Emily came in with a list of ideas and a plan of having a private wedding in the hills with a celebrant, the other half, obviously! and then celebrant, nature and bikes!

The couple were to cycle up the hills to the spot to get married, I loved that!

They had focused on the time together, the ceremony, the nature, the bikes.

Afterwards, a big party is planned and with all the guest getting to celebrate with the happy couple.

We loved making this the emerald green wedding dress and it’s always nice to work on non-traditional wedding dresses with a splash of colour. This dress specifically was to be made  suitable for the cycle trip, so it did not have a big train.

The dress was made in a beautiful forest green pure silk satin. It has some deep folds from the bust to the waist boning, covered buttons for the back detailing and a lovely full skirt with a beautiful drape and lots and lots of movement in that lovely silk.

I am so pleased with the result of this gorgeous green silk wedding dress and how it fits Emily, we did have a few attempts of getting the folds to sit well on the front, and I am so pleased with the final result.

This is a truly bespoke dress in pure silk and bremsilk lining. Made to suit the specific requirements of this beautiful outdoor wedding and the party afterwards.

Thank you to James Robertson for the beautiful photographs of this special day
