Halter neck beaded lace dress

Spread the love

Halter neck beaded lace dress

This was such a lovely request for a bespoke dress. Laura was looking for a halter neck dress with a really low back and made in beaded lace.

There are always challenges when you work in lace because you want to love the lace design and the edgings of the lace need to work with the design as well. This was the perfect place. And we bought every single piece in the country.

We needed extra lace to overlay the lace so the seams would be invisible.

We made a fitted satin dress. Then fitted the lace on top.  Then lastly added the edgings on the neck and back.

The lace edgings were cut in one with the dress, which is so scary, as you get one go at it. And it was bang on at first cut.

Lastly, we added the big bow and buttons at the back.

The wedding was an absolute feast for the eyes. The beautiful Dundas Castle (we are so proud to be on their preferred supplier list)

I loved the flower choices. Soft peaches and blues by Vicky’s Flowers.

This beautiful wedding is captured by our friends at Blue Sky Photography.

It was an absolute joy working with Laura. Many people wrongly think you need to come for fittings all the time, she lived abroad and made it here in just a few trips.

All the best wishes to Laura and Mathias.
