To celebrate mother’s day, I thought we would look back on some of our most recent Mother of the Bride outfits!
As the second most important lady of the day, it’s always an honour to make something for the mother of the bride. These are some of our amazing mother of the bride dresses that we have created recently. They all look wonderful!
Margaret had a lovely light ivory dress with a lace overlay on the bodice, which had a sweetheart neckline. The lace overlay created a high neck with beautiful lace edgings. The sleeves were three-quarter length, and the dress also had a satin belt around the middle. The skirt was loosely fitted with some soft pleats. (Photography by Jonathon Fowler).
Next is Aileen’s dress. This was made from gorgeous satin, with the skirt slightly shorter at the front and coming down to full length at the back. The bodice of the dress had a layer of beaded lace, and this created three quarter length sleeves. The dress was pearl grey in colour, and was the perfect outfit for her daughter’s wedding day. Nora had a gorgeous dress – a lovely striking tartan with a navy blue lace overlay. It had a high neck with a lowered back, with buttons and loops at the back of the dress. There was also some sequin embellishment in the lace, which caught the light beautifully!
Christine’s dress was a lovely light grey colour, with a ruched bardot style bodice and a fitted satin skirt. This dress also had a belt around the middle which added some lovely detail to the dress. Another one of our mums that looked amazing! Hat from Alex Muir.
It’s always great fun working with mothers of the bride (and groom!) – and we loved working with all these lovely ladies. Happy mothers day everyone!
