Lake District Garden Wedding
A very beautiful silk wedding dress was what we made for Shonagh. She had planned a beautiful garden wedding in her parent’s garden in the Lake District.
She had picked the date and kept to the date, but due to the corona restrictions had 2 parties to celebrate with all the people she wanted there.
Shonagh initially had some different pictures of ideas from Pinterest. They were all stunning and we picked and chose a couple of ideas. The first thing was a simple dress with wrap-over detail and spaghetti straps. And then a little overlay with bishop sleeves and cutaway back and bow detail.
The little jacket was one that could be taken off for the dancing. But it was so comfortable and cute Shonagh ended up wearing it all day and evening. The dress was so simple and minimalist in design choosing an exclusive material was so important. Shonagh picked a stunning silk satin chiffon backed with silk satin. The movement in that silk is divine.
One of Shonaghs close friends is the very talented Adelaide. Adelaide’s secret garden is her business and she makes the most incredible floral decorations and even grows her own flowers. We were delighted to make her wedding dress a few years ago. you can see it here. Shonagh had Adelaide on hand and she did the flowers for this stunning day, keeping it in tune with the garden feel. We love what she did. Adelaide’s husband is also a well-known guy in the world of events. He runs Ror’s Kitchen and cooked beautiful food for the wedding party on the day.
Chelsea Canner Photography took the wedding pictures. Her work is beautiful and she really chased the lovely light on the day and captured it so well.
This was the first wedding we were a part of for a long time, which had not been swapped and changed a million times. So grateful to be back with weddings.
