A matte satin wedding dress, with sheer sleeves and an elaborate lace train
Making Kirstie’s matte satin wedding dress was such a joy, we loved working with Kirstie and her mum for this wedding, we had such a nice experience.
Looking at the different options for the wedding dress with Kirstie. She is a very talented hairdresser, and she has great visions. She is great at sharing her ideas and visions with us. Together, we came up with the design. With a bespoke dress design, we ensure a perfectly fitted individual designed and made dress.
Kirstie’s bespoke wedding dress we made in a lovely matt satin wedding dress. We made sheer georgette sleeves and semi-sheer long guipure lace train. We love the look of the different textures: the thick dull Duchesse Satin and the Guipure lace and the sheer sleeves, they are all just beautiful together. The dress, however, comes most to life with the beautiful shiny lace.
Adding details as lovely lace cuffs and covered buttons and loops. Along with lovely buttons and loops down the back of the dress and keyhole detail.
Mother of the Bride
Kirstie brought her mum along for the fittings too, and she decided to go ahead with an outfit too.
The Mother of the bride chose a slip dress in the heavy silk crepe, trimmed with silk satin edges. She wore a matching silk satin chiffon coat with that and a stunning bespoke hat from Sally Ann Provan.
Kirstie and groom have 2 children, and we made little tartan dungarees for the younger boy. Both boys are just adorable.
The bride had a lot of tasks on the day, as she did everybody’s hair for the wedding.
Venue and Photographer
The wedding reception was held at The Strawberry Barn near Dunbar.
