Mikado dress for a Highland Wedding
Making this bespoke wedding dress in beautiful pale ivory mikado fabric was such a joy. Mikado is a fabric we love to using. It makes a lovely circle cut skirt with a train and boned strapless bodice with button and loop details at the back.
The dress have a little box jacket over with cap sleeves and little bow details on the back. Romy enjoyed the pocket feature, which made for fun pictures on the day.
Working with Romy on this beautiful wedding in Perthshire was a lovely experience. She has a real vision for styling and how she likes all the things to be. The plans were a relaxed stylish country wedding in the Scottish Countryside, with an outdoor ceremony if the weather behaved.
Stunning flowers and other beautiful details had the guests entertained on the day. Many guests travelled far to celebrate with the beautiful couple and their families.
We loved working with Romy and we love how it has all come together beautifully with Romy’s vision on the day. A mikado dress for a highland wedding is just such a stylish choice.
The flowers are arranged by Green pea studio. Emily Snow was Make up artist on the day and Rachael Murray did Romy’s hair. I love how glamourous she looks.
The venue is Monachyle Mhor and the beautiful photos are taken by Cat Markie.
