Sarah’s Silk Satin Chiffon Wedding Dress

Spread the love

We don’t do many Glasgow weddings. So to get asked to do a wedding dress for a wedding in Glasgow University Chapel Glasgow University Chapel with Reception at One Devonshire Gardens after, felt like the cream of the milk. Sarah had many ideas about her dress when she first came to see me. I enjoyed going through the process with her, as she had so many ideas to contribute and as a Teacher always had done all her home work and research in advance of our meetings.
She went for very fitted boned corset and circle skirt in Silk Taffeta with soft draping of a silk satin chiffon over. All materials was from James Hare Silks. The colour was pale ivory.
Sarah had lovely ideas of flowers, in very soft colours, ivory and pinks, and bridesmaids i a soft blue colour. It seemed to all blend in to the beautifull sandstone of the Chapel and the stunning neutrals of the Devonshire gardens. I think it really suits the light we have here in the summers.
Sarah brought her mum to the wedding dress fittings, and i was so honoured they both came such a long distance for Sarah’s dress.

Life in Frame did the phototography, I so enoyed how they have played with the light round the pillars at the chapel. Thank you so much to them for letting me show you the photographs of Sarah’s dress.
