Short wedding dress for a San Francisco Elopement
Making a wedding dress which is going places is always very exciting. Helen and her partner planned to marry in San Francisco Town Hall, with a bunch of close friends. Following, they would have the Holiday of a lifetime. Lastly, Come back to Scotland and host a big party.
So, therefore Helen’s dress had to do cover a few different requirements. Helen was not interested in a traditional dress. She wanted a modern, lovely dress, she could move in and one with a touch of colour.
She decided for beautiful luxurious silk crepe skirt with a slight fishtail. Helen chose a silver blue silk satin for the bodice. Then a cotton guipure lace overlay. The lace was sitting directly on her skin on her arms. This gave a lovely light look to see skin through the lace. The bodice was finished with lace scalloped edges on the necklines.
Helen’s friend Roslyn Leiths is a jewellery designer. She is from Fife and uses Linoleum to make striking designs. Helen chose a stunning pair of earrings for her wedding outfit. That way she had a bit of Fife with her on her big day.
We really enjoy making different styles of wedding dresses, and this one was no exception.
