A stunning Malaysian wedding
Jade and her husband are both Malaysian, and so decided to have Malaysian wedding celebrations in the UK and Kuala Lumpur. They both have studied and worked in the UK and so were delighted to invite their family over. After their Cambridge celebrations, they flew to Kuala Lumpur for a 3-day event where she wore her wedding dress, as well as beautiful traditional Malaysian dress.
Jade and I shared a Pinterest board to exchange ideas, which was filled with western wedding dresses with oriental influences. Things such as kimono bows, etc. Her dress was made from crisp taffeta, with a paisley pattern and deep kimono style belt. It also had asymmetric details, such as the detailing on the shoulder, which was beautiful! Along with this, she wore a cathedral length veil.
We also made her mothers outfit for the wedding, which was a nude dress with pink embellished overlay. Her mother’s hat was made by Karen Reid and went perfectly with the outfit.
