One bride is brilliant but two brides are a dream! We LOVE making outfits for the happy couple. Kara and Laura came to me, both with completely opposite ideas that complimented their personal styles.
Kara opted for an ivory dress made in satin and organza. The satin bodice was topped with a mesh bolero style overlay with lace details. The organza skirt was full of layers so it flowed effortlessly. We added a bustle so she could sweep the dress up for dancing all night. A classic style that is effortlessly beautiful.
Laura chose to go for a suit. We had been so lucky to make her a suit previously which she had LOVED and worn to weddings and business events. Her wedding suit had to be extra special. It was complete with a velvet jacket and matching tartan waistcoat and trousers. The jacket had silk satin lapels and buttons which complimented the velvet. We added faux pockets to both the jacket and waistcoat. This is ideal if you like the look but don’t need/want any extra bulk in the inside of the jacket. The tartan Laura wore was the MacInnes Tartan which was mainly blue and green with some red and yellow through it. The velvet jacket was a deep green, which tied the entire look together.
When working with two brides it is always such a surprise to find out what they wish to wear, they may go matching in two suits or dresses, or like Kara and Laura, go for one of each.
