Unicorn rainbow wedding dress
Hannah is such a fun girl. She came to me with a brief of many things that were all a bit unusual for a wedding dress consultation: unicorns and rainbows. But this is what makes my day.
It went something like this, “I like rainbows and blossom and tulle and colours.”
It took a while to source all the bits and pieces for Hannah’s bespoke dress. We made a full-circle skirt in the unicorn rainbow tulle. The tulle was sitting loose on top of a duchess satin. We had lots of netting under the skirt of the dress.
We made the bodice with lots of structure and boning. The fastening in the bodice laced up at the back with the unicorn rainbow ribbon.
Hannah sourced the cherry blossom motifs herself. We cut them out and added them to the bodice by hand.
The wedding took place in one of my favourite places on earth, Glen Lonan, right outside Oban. Hannah’s mum had done so much work preparing for the wedding in a friend’s barn. As you can see from the photographs, they had the most lovely day, and the couple looks incredible in that setting.
Thank you so much to Debbie Thornton Photography for the lovely pictures.
