Wrap Style Wedding Dress for Wedding at Kippilaw House
Hollie came to us with super lovely ideas of having a bit of a “fashion-wedding”
Full to the brim she was with the coolest ideas for her dress and for her wedding and venue. She had brilliant ideas for the colour scheme and for the decoration in the venue. She had thought of every aspect of it!
We made Hollie a fake wrap style dress wedding dress in silk satin, with big bell sleeves and deep cuffs with button and loops detailing all handmade in the beautiful soft satin.
This satin looks so rich in folds, and we made the most of it by making little folds on the front of the dress coming into the waist.
The dress has a long train which could bustle up for the evening and the dancing. The dress is fully lined in lovely satin lining, making it as beautiful on the inside as it is on the outside.
We made a deep belt so that Hollie could wrap around her waist twice and tie in a knot on her left side.
Hollie was very keen to have a veil with feathers, however this is not something we make. Luckily we were able to put Hollie in touch with Emma Louise Hopper. They has recently set up a business making beautiful handmade veils from her studio in Shetland. The veil turned out AMAZING and is so unique!
With a wedding planned for May, it’s always amazing to be able to have a ceremony outside. They were very lucky as the weather was beautiful on the day. The venue for this wedding was Kippilaw House. This is not a venue we have had dealings with before, but I really hope we will in the future as it looks amazing.
Lots other amazing companies on hand for this wedding. Lavender blue weddings, Hair by CharlotteRHind, Polly Floral design and Makeup Artist Jane Mac from Onyx are some to mention.
